CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES OF FACADE MATERIALS
An architectural work with a unique and eye-catching appearance will leave a bold mark, creating sympathy and trust from everyone. To do this well, you need to choose the right facade material for your project!
Transform architectural style with new construction materials
1. Construction techniques for facade materials
The architecture industry is gradually changing with the birth of many magnificent works with unique styles but still fully meeting construction criteria. This is the result and the "brainchild" of new-age architects.
Modern facade materials also contribute significantly to the above transformation in the construction field, helping to create buildings with splendid appearances instead of boring walls, opening up ideal spaces.
But not everyone understands and can install facade systems. Only a team of professional workers have construction skills and are committed to the quality of the facade after acceptance.
Although there are many materials produced to meet the great demand from consumers, the two materials most trusted by many employers & contractors are still ACP and Solid.
2. Construction of Solid facade materials
Before proceeding with construction, you need to clearly determine the location to be prepared for installation using the open grout method or without open grout method. This will depend on the intended use and the design previously approved by the investor.
2.1. Construction method with 15-25mm open grout:
– Solid panels will be crimped on 4 sides with V bowls attached to the edges right at the production factory. Accordingly, the distance between bowls V <= 400mm. In case the bowl has not been installed at the processing site, it is still possible to attach a separate V bowl outside the construction site.
– Solid panels with dimensions Width >= 1000mm and Height >= 1800mm need additional tendon reinforcement to increase stability, ensuring deflection as well as load-bearing capacity for the entire facade. Note that the distance between stiffeners is <=600mm.
***Note: In case the Solid plate has many perforations, weakening the plate, it is necessary to ensure safety by processing additional support materials.
– Solid panels are connected together into the load-bearing structural system with self-drilling screws.
– The grout method is suitable for installing Solid panels to decorate facades and canopy roofs in locations that require perfect waterproofing.
The construction process with open grouting for Solid facades requires high precision
2.2. Construction method without open grout:
– Similar to construction with open grouting, Solid panels are crimped on 4 sides and perforated according to the design (the condition is that the panel must have patterned holes and these patterned holes must ensure space for manipulation). screw connection). Distance between V joints <=400mm. If it is not convenient, you can consider attaching a separate V bowl outside the building.
– 600mm.
– The load-bearing structural system can bear force or steel depending on architectural requirements to connect Solid panels to create a solid facade system.
– This grout dividing method is chosen for decorative cladding areas in the home space.
Solid facade creates a space filled with vital energy
3. Construction of ACP facade materials
Aluminum Composite ACP panels, also known as synthetic aluminum alloys, are being installed in large projects and are constructed similarly to the Solid facade system mentioned above but there are differences in a few parameters and detail.
3.1. Construction method of dividing grout 15-25mm:
– ACP panels will be milled into a 20mm 4-sided box. Attach V-patterns to the outside edges of the project in preparation for installation.
– If constructing with ACP panels with dimensions Width >= 1000mm & Height >= 1800mm, technicians need to add a frame system to increase stiffness and bearing capacity. It is important to note that the distance between stiffening tendons must be <=600mm.
– Connect the solid plate to the frame system with self-drilling screws.
– The grout method is used when cladding ACP to make canopy roofs in areas that need absolute waterproofing, decorating facade systems, etc.
A solid ACP facade needs to ensure proper construction techniques
3.2. Processing & installation process of ACP panels
– Welded woven frame according to ACP size (1.2mx1.2m or 0.6mx1.2m) made of sturdy, durable aluminum or steel.
– Use groove bits for edge milling. Draw lines that coincide with the skeleton so that when screwing, the screw head is not exposed, ensuring aesthetics.
– Raise the ACP panel and secure it with screws. Use small silicon screws to hide the screws and avoid water leakage.
– Peel off the protective film of the ACP façade and complete the overall aluminum cladding.
